Swanson Tool SO101 7" Speed Square
FuturesFits into pockets;Sturdier than typical L-shaped framing squares;7" x 7" x 10" size;3/16" thick aluminum alloy;Ideal saw guide;
Customer Review:Nice but quality is lacking.The square itself works alright and I do like the way you can find so many degrees quick and easy. However I do not like whatever material it was made out of, feels very cheap. It looks like it was stamped out and instead of inspected for flaws just tossed into a blister pack and tossed on a truck. I don't know if I just got a dud or if all of them are like this but I won't be buying another to check that out. There is a reason to pay the extra for this.The difference between this and the dollar or two cheaper model is that all of the marks and numbers on this are painted black. Which means if you are going to be using this for more than drawing a straight line across a 2x8 the contrasting numbers will speed you up significantly. Just thought I'd throw this out in addition to all the other wonderful things that have been said about this great tool. Can't live without it....This is another essential item in every wood workers arsenal. Use it for layout, squaring up table saw blades on the job, check running width on a board or beam, guide for the skilsaw, parallel guide for the drill. Don't think there is a measuring tool that is so versital. The booklet that comes with the tool goes into great detail on how to use it to lay out rafters, stairs, etc. Have had one for a lot of years and finally felt I needed a new one,(some of the numbers on the old one are worn off). I also have one of the 12" "plastic" ones. Pretty tough also. Not only recommend this tool, but suggest that you've got to have one, at least one. Keywords: Measuring & Layout Tools; Squares;

Dremel 3956-02 Variable Speed MultiPro Super Kit With 77-Piece Accessory KitWhile there are a number of rotary tools on the market made by a host of different manufacturers, the Dremel Moto Tool is the one they all strive to copy. Dremel's MultiPro variable-speed model is great for a huge range of projects, from home improvement tasks to hobbies and crafting. It has a continuously adjustable speed range from 5,000 to 35,000 rpm, which allows the user to effectively work with materials as soft as balsa wood and as hard as ceramics. The flexible shaft that comes with this model is great for working in tight spots many rotary tools can't touch. The kit also comes with an assortment of accessories and a handy carrying case. Others may copy it, but Dremel has been making rotary tools so long they've come close to perfecting the idea. --Brian Trinen

Customer Review:Dremel Tool Super KitVery good product and a good buy.
Pays to shop at Amazon. I love my dremelAfter more than 10 years of heavy use (maybe abuse) my Dremel 395
finally died last night. I can't get a new one fast enough, but I thought I might take the chance get a newer model. Alot could have changed in ten years, but after reading the reviews of the newer 395D and 400 models it sounds they would never stand up to the way I use my Dremel. So I think I'll be getting another trusty 395. Great Tool & ValueWanted one of these since was a kid. Finally (at 40) bought one and cant figure how I used to do projects without one. Anyone considering the kit without the flex shaft should reconsider. The flex shaft makes this the most versatile tool I own. Keywords: Dremel; (Dremmel); Rotary Tools;

Hitachi NT65MA2 2-1/2" 15 Gauge Finish NailerLong nails into hardwood? No problem. Working overhead? It's only 4.2 pounds. Hate having the exhaust in your face? Tool-free, 360-degree adjustment takes care of that. No time for jams? Clearing takes no more than a couple of seconds because of the quick-release nose. The magazine is made of nylon, but it seems as rugged to us as any metal magazine out there. That's also why this nailer is so easy on the hands. Add to that a nicely padded grip and a selective trigger and you'd think you have the perfect nailer. But get thisthere's a built-in dust blower that clears light debris and dust from your workpiece. Hitachi quality leaves nothing to want. --Kris Jensen-Van Heste
FuturesSuperior power drives 2 1/2" nails into the hardest woods;Selective trigger for flexibility in firing operations;15 guage finish nails;Shoots 15 gauge 1 1/4" - 2 1/2" Angled finish Nails;Lightweight at only 4.2 lbs.;
Customer Review:The Best 15-Gauge Finish Nailer...As a custom homebuilder, I love high quality tools. I've had the opportunity to use many 15 gauge finish nailers throughout the years, and my hands down favorite is the Hitachi, for several reasons. It's by far the most reliable 15-gauge I've used. I run some HItachi's that are over 5 years old, and I've never had a problem with any of them. The balance of this gun is exceptional. To me balance of the gun is one of the most important features. I've run Bostitch, Senco, and Porter Cable, and I believe this gun is balanced better than any of them. The built in dust blower is also a great feature.
If this gun cost twice as much, I'd still use it, but the fact you can get it cheaper than most other 15 gauge nailers is just icing on the cake. If you're looking for the best 15 gauge nailer, this is it. Good Tool - No Trouble (Yet)Don't have a lot of experience of using or having nailers. This is only my second one, or the first real one. Read lots of reviews from this site and others before buying it from Amazon a few weeks ago. Took advantage of the $25off tool promotion and the price came out 15% lower than buying from home centers.
Have been using it to nail the base boards in my family room last couple of weeks and have not had any nail jams, at least not yet. Did not have to make much adjustment to put 2" 15GA nails at the right depth. Finding nails around home centers hasn't been any problems. So far have been very happy about the purchase.
Reliable and Tough as NailsI've used this gun quite a bit and it hasn't misfired yet. It's simple to use and feels solid, made to last. Plenty of power too; sinks 2 1/2" nails into pressure treated fir with no problem. In white pine I had to back the pressure off to keep it from sinking them TOO deep! The air nozzle feature should be on every finish nailer. You'd be surprised how handy it is; no need to put the gun down to clear away the chips etc... that always seem to get in the way of a good fit. The only drawback I found is that you'll have to go to a good hardware store to find an air fitting for it. Once that's done it's the perfect finish nailer. Customer Review:Both sizes very usefull...We bought this set for building a deck and we found that both sizes were very usefull in the project. They are very high quaility and sturdy - will last forever. Even Better Than BeforeThe construction on these is superb and they mean it when they say non-marring. I have always used cheaper levels, having to flip them end to end to double check measurements and finally got too frustrated and splurged. I don't regret it one bit. I purchased the 16"/48" set and have come up short a few times though, so this new longer set sure would be nice. 59" is weird, but what a smart idea!When I first saw this level in Amazon.com catalog, I thought it was a misprint. I mean who buys a 59" level, what design engineer suggested this? Well I bought the set since I have most of the other Stabila levels and it was offered at a great sale price of $99 for the set. Once I got this set, I discovered WHY the 59". FIrst of all, it spans 4 studs (on 16's), and have you noticed how big windows are nowadays? It's not like the old double hung windows, you need a 5' level (59" so it fits in a 5' opening). This level is comfortable to use because it is within your arm span and not over your height. If it were longer, it would be bouncing off headers and other openings as you walk though the job. It is the right length and has replaced my 4' Stabila as my "default" level. I grab the 59" level first and use it the most. Kudo's to that ballzy German engineer who brought this idea to the boss. Keywords: Measuring & Layout Tools; Levels;
